The Twitter bug has bitten Vatican City with the Pope joining in to address the faithful with “pearls of wisdom”. It may well turn out to be just want the followers wanted, as the Catholic Church tries to reach a wider audience and harness social media to woo the Internet generation. @pontifex will begin tweeting next week starting with the Pope answering questions set to him on matters on faith. Having decided to target Internet generation, the Pope will definitely have some answering to do.
